Between the humidity, the rain and the sun, Northern Rivers weather is hard on concrete, roofs and walls. Gemini Group Co takes care of all of it, so there's no one else to call. Give us a call or send a few photos, and Jarred will give you a price guide before anyone drives out.
Pick the one that sounds most like your situation and we'll point you to the right service.

Surface CoatingsCracks and fading are surface problems on a slab that's usually still sound. We grind it back, open and fill the cracks, screed, spray on new concrete and seal it. A new driveway without the demolition bill.
Your final price comes down to the size of the area, any old coatings to grind off, how many cracks need repairing and the finish you choose. Send a few photos and Jarred will firm it up.
From the concrete underfoot to the tiles on the roof, there's a Gemini service for every surface of your property. Pick a side to see how we'd handle the job.
Driveways, pools, patios and floors given a new finish over the concrete you already have.
Roofs, walls, windows, gutters and concrete, cleaned with a method matched to each surface rather than brute force.
This is why a Gemini resurface lasts ten years and a painted driveway peels in two. Five stages, two to four days on site, no skip bin. Scroll and we'll walk you through it.
A diamond grinder takes off the weathered skin, old sealers and any paint so the new surface has clean, open concrete to grip. Dust is vacuum captured, not blown into your garden.
Every crack is chased open, cleaned and filled with a flexible repair compound so it can't telegraph back through the new surface. This is the step the cheap jobs skip.
A screed coat levels the slab, fills pitting and gives the new surface an even bed. Without it the old texture shows through.
The new surface is sprayed on in your colour and finish. Plain, stencilled brick or slate, or slip rated up to P5 for pool areas.
Two coats of sealer lock in the colour and keep oil, tyre marks and mould out. Walk on it next day, drive on it after a week. We come back if anything isn't right.
A resurface only lasts if the slab underneath can carry it. These are the checks Jarred does on every site visit, and the reasons he'll sometimes tell you not to spend the money.
Real jobs, real suburbs, shot from the same spot before and after. Drag the handle on any photo, or swipe through the strip.

BeforeAfter“Gemini Group resurfaced the concrete around my pool and patio, and I couldn't be happier with the result! I had a very tight window between tenants moving out and listing the property for sale. Jarrad and his crew rearranged their schedule to fit my relatively small job in, and when weather pushed things back, they kept shuffling other work to keep mine on track.”
“They were so diligent and painstakingly worked through the extreme inclement weather making sure that each coat was dry before applying the next. Jarred kept me up to date on the progress always positive and enthusiatic and what a great result.”

“Jarred from Gemini concrete resurfacing did our driveway and it looks great. Stupidly I tried to clean a stain with metho and it discoloured a small section Jarred come and treated it for us and brought it back to looking great again.”
“We spoke with Jarred about getting our double storey house washed here in Lismore. He was quick to reply and got us booked in immediately. The outcome was even better than we had expected, the house looks amazing!”
“We've just had the outside of our house cleaned (no more mould and dirt!) and the concrete around it and driveway done. We were astounded by how well they came up. Colours we've never seen. So they did everything they'd promised and more.”
Northern Rivers customers choose Gemini because we do the job properly, even when that means we're not the cheapest quote. We send full crews and put on full coats, because that's what it takes to get it right the first time.
We own and maintain every machine we use, so your job never waits on a hire company or a hired machine that's broken down. Jarred quotes every job himself, and the bloke who inspects your slab is the bloke responsible for the finish.

Our three-phase, remote-controlled grinder and top-of-the-range diamonds cut the slab properly, and our dust extractors pull the dust out of the pores so the coating bonds instead of lifting.

Depending on your concrete, we use cement-based Dulux Avista or flexible ShieldCoat, and Jarred explains which one suits your slab and why. Before choosing a finish he looks at your roof, gutters and trim, so the concrete ties everything together.

Our proportioner mixes each treatment at the right ratio for the surface, so it's strong enough to kill the mould without being too harsh on your home. One crew for the concrete and the clean, one booking, one invoice.

Short answer: it costs about half as much as a new slab, fixes the cracks a paint-on coating can't, and you keep your driveway for all but a few days.
Gemini Group Co works right across the Northern Rivers, including Goonellabah, Ballina, Byron Bay, Lennox Head, Casino, Alstonville, Wollongbar, Kyogle, Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Wardell, Broadwater and Ocean Shores. Tap a town to find it on the map, or type your suburb.
A few of the questions we hear most. Can't find yours? Call us on 0481 487 440 or send an enquiry and we'll help.
No. Paint sits on top of the slab and peels when water gets under it. Resurfacing grinds the old surface off, repairs the cracks, and bonds a new layer of polymer-modified concrete to the substrate before sealing it. It becomes part of the slab. Done properly with a Dulux Avista system it lasts 10 years or more with basic care.
Most cracked driveways can be resurfaced. Hairline and surface cracks are chased open, filled with a flexible compound and feathered in, and they don't come back through. If one side of a crack has dropped, the slab is moving and we'll tell you a re-pour is the honest answer.
Ten years or more with basic care, and the sealer can be recoated at the five to seven year mark to push that out. The finish is a Dulux Avista spray-on system with a manufacturer warranty, applied by a trained applicator.
Typically 2 to 4 days on site depending on size and how much crack repair there is. You can walk on it the day after sealing and drive on it after about 7 days of cure. We'll tell you the exact plan at the quote so you can sort parking.
Yes. We work from the Dulux Avista colour range and can stencil brick, slate or tile patterns, or keep it plain. Pool surrounds get a lighter, cooler colour with a P5 slip texture. Jarred brings the real sample chips to the site visit.
Yes. Pool surrounds are finished with a slip-resistant texture rated P5 under AS 4586, which is what the standard asks for around water, and sealed with a chlorine and salt resistant sealer.
Not if the prep is done. Peeling comes from coating over a dirty, sealed or damp slab. We diamond grind every slab back to clean concrete and test for old sealers before we start, which is the step most peeling jobs skipped.
Pressure washing uses force to blast dirt off, and on render, painted surfaces and roof tiles that force does damage and pushes water where it shouldn't go. Soft washing uses low pressure and a measured mix of cleaning agents that kills mould, algae and bacteria at the root. The mould turns white in about three minutes and it doesn't grow straight back. We use a surface cleaner on concrete and soft wash on everything else.
Eventually, because this is the Northern Rivers and it rains. A soft wash removes the organism rather than smearing it, so you get years, not months. Our 12-month mould prevention treatment is roughly eight times stronger than the retail spray-on products and reactivates with rain. Most clients have it reapplied annually.
Yes, with the right prep. We pre-soak your garden, rinse it down after, and disconnect rainwater tanks before we treat a roof so nothing ends up in your drinking water. Keep pets inside for the morning and that's all you need to do.
Yes. Soft washing is done from the ground with telescopic lances, so there's no scaffold, no ladders against your gutters and no one walking on a wet roof unless it genuinely needs it.
We do, and no. Panels are cleaned with purified water and a soft brush, no chemicals and no pressure, which is what the panel manufacturers ask for. Clean panels typically pick up 5 to 15 percent more output.
Every two to three years for most roofs, or once with a 12-month prevention treatment reapplied annually, which keeps it clean without the big job. Metal roofs under trees and south-facing tile roofs need it most.
A full concrete resurface starts from $10,000, and a driveway repair and resurface is typically $15,000 to $20,000. Our spray-on coating is from $95 per square metre, a clear protective sealer from $65 per square metre, and colour sealing is less than half the price of a full resurface. Epoxy flake floors with a polyaspartic topcoat start from $90 per square metre and metallic epoxy from $185. We publish these so you can plan before we visit.
A house wash is from $460 per side. Driveway pressure cleaning, external window cleaning and solar panel cleaning each start from $650. A roof clean is typically $2,500 to $2,800, and every roof clean includes your gutters and solar panels. Add a house wash or concrete clean to the same visit and that service is half the usual price.
For concrete jobs, a 10% deposit locks in your date, 50% is due in the week before we start, and the balance is paid once the job's finished. For other work, Jarred will run you through the payment terms with your quote.
Because nothing gets demolished. A re-pour means a skip bin, excavation, new steel, new concrete and two to four weeks without a driveway, which is why it runs $18,000 to $30,000 or more. Resurfacing reuses the slab you already paid for.
Yes. Our mould prevention and maintenance plans are follow-up care that keeps the clean looking fresh for longer, with an annual treatment and a check of the roof, gutters and exterior. Jarred will price a plan for your place with your quote.
Not much. Our crew moves anything in the way, keeps your garden protected and leaves everything tidy when the job's done. For a roof wash, let us know about rainwater tanks so we can disconnect them.
It's our crew. Jarred quotes every concrete job and runs the resurfacing work with Ruben. Peter leads the exterior cleaning team. No subcontractors, no lead-selling, and the person who quoted you is the person accountable for the finish.
Rain can move the date for outdoor work. Coatings can't be sprayed in the wet and need two to three dry days ahead of them. We keep an eye on the forecast and let you know early if we need to shift things.
Not for outdoor jobs. We just need to be able to get in, with any pets kept inside or out of the work area while we're there.
Hose it down a few times a year, keep oil off it, and don't use metho or harsh solvents on stains, ring us instead. A fresh sealer coat every five to seven years keeps the colour and the protection up.
Yes. Shopfronts, car parks, strata blocks and warehouse floors are a big part of what we do, often after hours or in stages to keep the site trading. We hold the insurances and can work to your site induction.
Yes. Resurfacing is applied with Dulux Avista systems and backed by their product warranty, and we stand behind our workmanship. If something isn't right after handover, we come back. Bob in Goonellabah discoloured a patch with metho a year after his job and we treated it for free, and he wrote a review about it.
Yes. Gemini Group Co holds NSW contractor licence 495534C, $20M public liability insurance and CM3 accreditation, and Jarred is a Dulux Avista accredited applicator. Ask to see the certificates at the quote, people do and we're happy to show them.
Every one. We have a 5.0 rating from 53 reviews on Google, all written by customers, with first names and suburbs. The three on this page are copied word for word, typos included. We don't write our own and we don't buy them.

Jarred answers the phone himself most days. If he's on a grinder, leave a message and he'll ring back that afternoon.
